Imitation the sincerest form of flattery?

Every time I come up with a business idea I see people hopping on board. Sometimes I'm just a weathervane to alert people what to sell other times my complete ad. and sometimes pictures are stolen.

Now I've found a new one, my name. No not Billy Bogart but Halloween Skeletons is now being used as keyword spam in all meta descriptions. Basically they want my sales and could careless if my sales die along with me. That's my impression.

I also don't trust business associates of anyone who operate too close. I also don't like how these tactics reduce my profits to the point it's hardly worth the effort. The main problem is too much competition. Competition that gets into price wars and everyone loses.

I've said it a million times I'd rather be just working on music all day long. The problem with that is music sales are the result of hype and no one is getting worked up over me or investing millions to develop a brand. That's really what the music industry is. Now since they can no longer develop bands they fabricate the whole sale with crappy presentations like american idle. The very word band I think is short for brand. The other problem is people no longer feel obligated to purchase music. Even if they sign up for itunes which turns musicians into chinese laborers all they have to pay is a small monthly fee for unlimited dl's. I sometimes get paid pennies per download.

There is the idea of making a cd and selling physical products but that costs money and very few are willing to chip in as in kickstarter etc for non cookie cutter music. There is another website that funds projects maybe I should try that.

Here's my ad.
